the sky above, the field below

Taken today as the sun was setting and I was running around in the country
around town. I edited the colors and darkned the sky a bit since it was quite
bright in it's original forum; contrasts were also increased.

I had problems deciding what to call this so I just used a fitting song title
from the post-rock band Explosions In The Sky. It's a mellow
simple tune from the OST to the brilliant american fotball movie Friday Night Lights.

The band is mostly instrumental but more rock based than more abstract acts
in the genre such as GY!BE, Set Fire To Flames, Sigur Ros etc. Still the sound
is based around hypnosis and build-ups but the releases are often based on distorted
guitars. This is simply a more guitar driven post-rock act and therefore this
is one of the most accessible acts in this genre and I think most people that like alt-rock
would enjoy this band alot. In either case check them out if you're intrested.

The movie is also awesome and the Explosions In The Sky OST makes
the movie far more haunting and touching than what it would have been without
it. Brilliant flick and not quite like all the other sports movies out there. <--This is
coming from a guy who lacks sports. XD
